Bonsoir. Matchday 13 gave us six upsets and three games that needed extra time to settle, one of them in a shootout. On continue. Let's get into it.

DKR 2 — MUM 3

Quel match! The Sandy Parlor needed a shootout to settle this one, close to the odds board, Dakar at 1.78 to Mumbai's 2.04. Vikram Joshi converted the deciding attempt.

The first period was scoreless and combative—Rohan Deshmukh and Mamadou Guèye fought, five and five, the only event of note.

Meera Naik opened the scoring for Mumbai late in the second, 14:18, Kiran Bhatt assisting. 0-1 after forty.

The third went back and forth. Khady Bâ tied it for Dakar, 0:57, Ibrahima Sarr assisting, before Pooja Verma put Mumbai back ahead, 4:05, Aditya Rao with the feed. Khady Bâ completed her two-goal night at 10:58, Sarr picking up his second assist. 2-2 into overtime.

Overtime stayed scoreless—Modou Diouf and Divya Mehta fought late, matching majors. In the shootout, Vikram Joshi ended it. Final: 2-3—Mumbai's road upset, settled in the bonus frame.

WPG 5 — GND 3

Upset. The Cold Lodge was supposed to favor Gander—1.73 to Winnipeg's 2.12—but Jake Fehr's two-goal night, bookending the scoring, carried the Wendigos through a third-period scare.

Jake Fehr opened the scoring at 6:06, Anna Flett assisting, and Tara Ridsdale doubled it at 10:58, Flett returning the favor. 2-0 after twenty.

Dermot Power pulled Gander within one early in the second, 0:25, Brian Mercer assisting, but Tyler Chicken restored Winnipeg's two-goal cushion at 5:22, Kaya Bearclaw assisting. 3-1 after forty.

Gander stormed back in the third. Gus Maloney pulled within one at 5:06, Janice Hapgood assisting, and Cyril Hynes tied it at 9:00, Bridget Walsh assisting. Brendan Fehr restored Winnipeg's lead at 11:23, Leah Blacksmith assisting, and Jake Fehr sealed it at 13:57, Marissa Spence with the feed. Final: 5-3—Winnipeg's home upset, holding off a furious Gander rally.

JBG 4 — NRB 2

Die Goue Myn produced a result close to the odds board, Johannesburg at 1.8 to Nairobi's 2.03, in a four-fight night that swung back and forth before the Jaguars pulled away.

Naledi Khumalo opened the scoring at 2:34, Lindiwe Sithole assisting, before Sipho Nkosi and Amara Osei fought, coincidental majors, and Pieter Botha and Moses Okello followed with matching majors. Amara Osei tied it late, 14:46, Peter Kimani assisting. 1-1 after twenty.

Wanjiku Mwangi put Nairobi ahead early in the second, 0:35, James Odhiambo assisting, but Nomsa Mahlangu tied it again, 2:05, Kagiso Molefe with the feed, after Akinyi Ochieng and Mahlangu herself fought, matching majors. Zanele Ndaba put Johannesburg ahead for good at 10:17, Bongani Mthembu assisting. 3-2 after forty.

MDE 3 — STO 0

La Ladera produced a result close to the heavy home favoritism, 1.33 to 3.33, Medellín's first period setting the tone with three goals in the opening fourteen minutes.

Mateo Arango opened the scoring at 1:07, Mariana Zapata assisting, in a penalty-filled period that saw four trips to The Sixth. Zapata scored herself at 12:00, Valentina Ospina with the feed, and Sebastián Cardona capped it at 13:58, Isabella Gómez assisting. 3-0 after twenty.

The second and third were quiet and physical, neither side finding the net—Oscar Söderström and Albin Nordlund leading the hit totals for Stockholm without ever threatening the scoreboard. Final: 3-0—Medellín's heavy favoritism confirmed, a complete shutout.

PRA 3 — MCM 4

Upset. The Stone Opera was supposed to favor Prague—1.56 to McMurdo's 2.45—but Chris Elliot's hat trick, capped in overtime, sent the Monoliths home with the points.

Amira Hassan opened the scoring at 4:30, Yumi Takeda assisting, and Chris Elliot doubled McMurdo's lead on the power play at 12:17, Sven Lindberg with the feed. 0-2 after twenty.

Eliška Veselá pulled Prague within one in the second, 8:50, Pavel Krejčí assisting, before Pavel Krejčí and Natasha Borova fought, matching majors. 1-2 after forty.

The third went back and forth. Ondřej Marek tied it for Prague, 0:39, Barbora Králová assisting, before Chris Elliot restored McMurdo's lead at 9:23, Tobias Frey assisting. Barbora Králová tied it again late, 14:41, Veselá returning the assist. 3-3 into overtime.

Chris Elliot completed his hat trick at 2:06, Yumi Takeda picking up her second assist. Final: 3-4—McMurdo's road upset, settled in the extra frame.

USH 1 — RIM 2

Upset. The South Passage was supposed to favor Ushuaia—1.68 to Rimini's 2.2—but Giulia Bianchi's overtime winner sent the Rinklers home with the points.

Agustín Medina opened the scoring at 10:32, Martina Vega assisting, for the only goal of the first.

Elena Moretti tied it for Rimini in the second, 13:34, Chiara Ricci assisting. 1-1 after forty.

The third was scoreless and physical—six hits with no goals, both sides probing for an opening—pushing it to overtime.

Giulia Bianchi won it at 5:18, Nico De Luca assisting. Final: 1-2—Rimini's road upset, settled in the extra frame.

HAV 3 — VLA 5

The Rhythm Bureau produced a result close to the odds board—Vladivostok the favorites at 1.64 to Havana's 2.27—in an eight-goal, twenty-one-hit track meet.

Darya Kuznetsova opened the scoring at 0:19, Nikita Sorokin assisting, but Havana answered twice—Osmany Leyva at 2:08, Adonis Reyes assisting, and Lázaro Valdés at 2:19, Claudia Pérez with the feed. Olga Smirnova tied it for Vladivostok late, 14:01, Igor Zaytsev assisting. 2-2 after twenty.

Vera Orlova put Vladivostok ahead in the second, 4:35, Maxim Petrov assisting. 2-3 after forty.

The third stayed close. Upset. The Green Canopy was supposed to favor São Paulo—1.77 to Busan's 2.07—but the Blizzards built a three-goal cushion before the Serpents found their footing. Sang-hoon Bae finished with three assists.

Yuna Kang opened the scoring at 3:21, Sang-hoon Bae assisting, and So-hee Hwang doubled it on the power play at 5:50, Bae with his second assist. Larissa Souza pulled São Paulo within one, 7:41, Bruno Nascimento assisting, before So-hee Hwang completed her two-goal night at 9:08, Dong-wook Yoon with the feed. 1-3 after twenty.

Juliana Santos pulled São Paulo within two in the second, 4:01, Thiago Pereira assisting, but Min-jun Lee answered for Busan, 4:54, Sang-hoon Bae picking up his third assist. 2-4 after forty.

The third was Busan's. Youssef Mansour opened the scoring at 10:28, Habiba Sherif assisting, in a period that saw Khaled Naguib and Mostafa Rashad both visit The Sixth early. 0-1 after twenty.

Khaled Naguib doubled the lead in the second, 1:24, Ahmed Zaki assisting, before Anniina Tuominen kept Helsinki physical with hits on Khaled Naguib and Mariam Khalil. 0-2 after forty.

The third was scoreless, mostly penalties—Erik Johansson and Ahmed Zaki both visiting The Sixth again. Final: 0-2—Cairo's road shutout, the favorites confirmed.

WEL 2 — ANC 0

The Howling Harbour produced a result close to the odds board, Wellington at 1.69 to Anchorage's 2.19, in a seventeen-hit, three-fight night that ended in a Kahurangi shutout.

The first period was scoreless and combative—Manaia Walker and Tara Alexie fought, five and five, and Jake Hensley and Anahera Reid followed with another set, coincidental majors.

Awhina Clarke opened the scoring in the second, 2:33, Nikau Edwards assisting, and Liam Tomoana doubled it at 6:50, Olivia Rangi with the feed. 2-0 after forty.

The third was scoreless but physical—Jake Hensley and Rāwiri Patel fought early, coincidental majors—and the lead held. Final: 2-0, Wellington comfortable at home.

The third went back and forth. Mateo Guzmán tied it for Guadalajara, 6:39, Navarro returning the assist, before Simon Côté restored Montréal's lead late, 14:06, Dmitri Volkov assisting. Final: 3-2, Montréal hold on at home.

TOK 5 — PER 3

Upset. The Neon Crossing was supposed to favor Perth—1.51 to Tokyo's 2.58—but the Titans erased a two-goal deficit with five unanswered goals across the second and third periods. Hina Takahashi finished with three assists.

Tahlia Nguyen opened the scoring on the power play at 4:09, Nate Hargrove assisting, for the only goal of a hit-heavy first period.

Gemma Fletcher doubled Perth's lead in the second, 9:06, Sienna Kapoor assisting, before Yūma Hayashi pulled Tokyo within one, 10:50, Haruto Nakamura with the feed. 1-2 after forty.

The third belonged entirely to Tokyo. Sōta Watanabe tied it at 5:01, Hina Takahashi assisting, and Sakura Shimizu put the Titans ahead at 7:09, Takahashi with her second assist. Le Council acknowledges that Matchday 13 occurred. Six results were inconsistent with pre-game expectations. Le Council notes that Chris Elliot scored a hat trick, including the overtime winner, against the heavy home favorites in Prague, and wishes him well. The record has been updated accordingly.
