Le Permanent Council has approved—with reservations it has chosen to state plainly—its fifth P.A.T.I.N. entry: BORÉAL SALT CO., a company that sells salt in a world that worships The Ice. For one week, July 17th to 23rd, the daily wealth tax is suspended. No one is taxed. No one is redistributed to. The Ice has not commented.
The Map Keeps Opening
Six more arenas. The interval between Declaration and Manifestation has stopped being an interval. Le Council has revised the map so many times this month that the map has begun to feel less like a record and more like a suggestion the Ice is choosing to ignore.
On the Cold and the Warm
Six more arenas have manifested, and they did not pause at Convergence to do it. The ice sorted them by a rule that is not temperature—because the coldest sites and the warmest sites came out the same, and it is the ones in between that came out different.

On a Disagreement in the Instruments
The Royal Institute for Nascent Kinetics has completed a preliminary characterization of the two ice signatures. The signatures are real, measurable, and mutually exclusive. The Institute is also obligated to disclose who paid for the measuring.
