how can we help new players?

  Could be a good use of the gifting of shares, even as volatile as they can be. Identifying new players could be more difficult, though. It might be nice if there was a notification when someone chooses your favorite team as their own?

  Some method of seeing other fans profile easier, perhaps a public facing page with favorite team, join date, and maybe other information could help facilitate such things

  yeah i love all of these ideas: in particular i think an easier way of seeing either new fans of the same team and/or just fans of the same team would be great.

  I agree with you. It would be difficult starting right now. The 100 looney daily login doesn't do much when a shaving is 500 and the cheapest share is 1,200. Tossing out a couple ideas that might help:

  Idea#1 - create different ways to make looneys.
  Players get looneys every time their favorite team wins
  Players get looneys every time their favorite Hockay player scores a point (or blocks if a goalie?)

  There's also a lot of looneys in circulation and that's intimidating. We need an incentive for players to spend their looneys instead of stack them up.

  Idea#2 - allow players/teams to purchase temporary modifiers.
  Team modifiers, arena modifiers, player modifiers.
  Maybe this is a team effort thing? Where you need enough support for the modifier to be applied? You could buy a vote to support the purchase. The more you buy the more they costs. Allowing new players meaningful engagement and wealthy players to use their wealth for more than purchasing shares. I could see people saving up and dumping all their looneys for the season finally. It would be fun to watch.

  I definitely would love a way to see all the fans of the same team as me. I might have missed it, but really the only way i’ve found is to look at who holds shares of your team in the exchange, and even that doesn’t necessarily correlate to team fans always.
