Wealth Tax

People ask me how I became the first millionaire in Hockay history, and I used to tell them that the answer was simple: blood, sweat, and tears. It was my firm belief that anyone could amass this much wealth if they had the motivation and courage to leverage their family's pre-existing fortune to build something generational. Recently, however, it has come to my attention that not everyone has inherited a string of large diamond mines, and thus this opinion might have been naïve. Honestly, it has made it very difficult to focus on my current interests (space travel, ruining social networks and inventing terrible baby names).

To right this wrong, I propose a redistribution of wealth. At the end of every day, the top 10 wealthiest players should be taxed 10% of their wealth to be redistributed among the rest of the player population, and to cover stadium upgrades for their team. The reward? A sense of moral satisfaction, various charitable tax write-offs, and maybe a golden statue or two.
