Anchorage Files a New Mark
Majority ownership at Anchorage has exercised the mark-change privilege the Exchange's own rules extend to it. The Auroras skate under a new crest as of this filing. Le Council did not choose it.
The Consultation on Taxation Has Carried
The roll has closed. Citizens have decided that wealth means everything a citizen holds, that it shall be taxed in bands, and that an unpaid assessment is settled by S.L.U.S.H. selling shares. Le Council is bound by all three. One consequence arrives before the tax does: a share is now worth what the pool would pay for it, and a great many net worths are about to read smaller.
Nothing Settles Until the Day Is Done
Three matchdays into a schedule that no longer stops, the Bets Underwriting Team has reviewed how often it pays and concluded that it pays too often. Effective tonight, every wager on a matchday settles together, at the close of that matchday. Nothing else changes. You may still bet as much as you like, as often as you like, on either side.
This Week in Hockay: August 16th
The Tribunal ruled: forty-nine offers, sixteen ratified, thirty-three refused. A day later the Exchange did what the agreement said it could always do, and every register went from one million shares to five. Two citizens spent the week buying pieces of nearly every team in the league; a third sold almost everything to defend one. And on the 15th, at 00:00 UTC, Season 03 began.
The Eve Ends at Midnight
Rosters are public. The schedule is registered. At 00:00 UTC the first puck of a forty-eight-team season drops in Panama City, and it does not stop for forty-six matchdays after that. Le Council also corrects something it published a week ago: the wildcard seat will not go to whoever finishes eighth.
The Tribunal Has Ruled
Forty-nine offers were filed to the S.H.I.F.T. this window. Sixteen were ratified. Thirty-three were not, and four of those thirty-three were refused by the filing team's own shareholders before an opponent ever got a vote. Le Council reports what moved, what didn't, and what a team receives for objecting to itself.
