Festive

The Andaman Pavilion receives opposing teams as guests, and then eats them. Visitors start the night comfortable and end it considerably less so.

Lore

The most tourist-oriented arena in the league receives opposing teams as guests, and then, per the assessment team, eats them. The ice is of the verglas form. Under the Festive designation, visiting teams arrive to a welcome and leave to something else entirely: they are measurably sharper in the first period than they are by the third. Le Council's records indicate this was the original specification, and no one has moved to correct it, on the grounds that the correction would make The Andaman Pavilion worse. The Podcasters are loud, bright, and considerably more dangerous than the welcome suggests. The Andaman Pavilion wants goals. It is not particular about whose. The Podcasters have made peace with this. Their opponents, the assessment team reports, rarely do.

The Building

An open pavilion of teak and gilt on a low platform above the sand, with a tiered roof in four falls and eaves that turn up at the corners, hung along their whole length with lanterns that are lit for every fixture and are not taken down between them. There are 8,200 seats, and the two rows nearest the boards are cushioned floor seating rather than chairs. The building has no doors. Music plays before, during, and after play, from a stage at the southern end that is occupied continuously by a rotation Le Council has not been able to obtain a schedule for. Confetti is fired on every goal by both sides, which the facilities office costed once and did not raise again. The Almighty Ice is kept, against every expectation the assessment team brought with it, in immaculate condition.

A parish is not a building. The building was already there. Attend if this is where you belong.
