Le Council did not choose the name of the day.
Le Council was presented with the name of the day by the office that has been given responsibility for growth, was told that the alliteration was the point, and was informed that the matter had already gone to print. Le Council notes the name here once, for the avoidance of confusion, and will not use it again.
The League Unit for Recruitment and Enrolment opens this morning. It is L.U.R.E. in the filings and on the door. It issues bonds. It does not vouch for whom you bring.
The bond
Every fan on the roll now holds a bond: a six-character enrolment link, yours permanently, of the form hockay.com/enroll/XXXXXX. It is on your page at L.U.R.E. and it was minted the first time you looked at it.
A fan who enrols through your bond is recorded against your name. When their enrolment qualifies—which requires that they confirm their email and finish choosing a name and a club—Le Council pays both of you, and does not stop paying.
- The recruit receives an extra Ⱡ500 on arrival, and a permanent +10% on their daily reward.
- You receive a permanent +10% on your daily reward, for each recruit who qualifies, to a maximum of ten.
Ten recruits is therefore double the daily reward, for as long as you are on the roll. Le Council has capped the arrangement there in both directions: a fan who was recruited and who has recruited ten others holds eleven bonds and is paid for ten, which Le Council concedes is arbitrary and has declined to revisit.
Le Council will state the three limits plainly, as it would rather state them than adjudicate them later. You may not recruit yourself. A fan may be recruited only once, ever—a second bond presented later does not reassign the first. And nothing is paid until the recruit qualifies, which is why your roll will show names marked awaiting verification. Those are not failures. They are people who have not opened their email.
The word
The bond is one half. The other half is for the fans who have been telling people about Hockay for months and have nothing to show for it.

The word pays on its own. No one need follow it back.
Le Council does not check whether anyone read your post. Le Council has no means of checking, has considered acquiring one, and has decided against it on the grounds that the means available are worse than the ignorance. What is recorded is that you carried it. What happens after that is not Le Council's to observe, and your bond travels with the word regardless—if someone does follow it back and enrols, that is a bond, and it pays separately and permanently, as above.
The registers reopen every Monday at 00:00 UTC. They do not accumulate. A register unused this week is not two registers next week, and Le Council has been asked and has answered.
Five times, for seven days
Le Council now comes to the number, which the office responsible for growth has asked to be set in the largest type the advisory permits.
From this morning until the same hour next Tuesday, every daily reward in the league is multiplied by five.
This applies to everyone on the roll. It is not conditional on recruiting anyone, on carrying the word, or on having heard of any of the above. Collect your reward as you always have and it will be five times what it was.
It compounds with everything else, because the multipliers have always compounded with each other:

Le Council has run this figure past its own Treasury three times and reproduces it here without comment, other than to observe that a fan on a twenty-eight-day streak who spends this week recruiting will not see the last of those columns fill until well after the window has closed. Bonds are permanent. The window is not. Le Council mentions this in the order it considers useful.
What this is for
Le Council will be direct, as the alternative is a pretense nobody is served by.
The fans who are here stay here. Le Council has the figures and they are not the problem. The problem is that Hockay is a sport that does not exist, played by clubs that cannot be looked up, in a league that no one has heard of, and there is no mechanism by which a person learns of it except that another person tells them. There has never been such a mechanism on this site. There is one as of this morning, and it pays.
Le Council is aware that paying fans to speak well of a thing is a compromised way of learning whether the thing is spoken well of. It has weighed this against the alternative, which is silence, and has come down where it has come down.
The office responsible for growth has asked Le Council to close with a sentiment. Le Council declines. The registers are open, the window closes next Tuesday, and the roll is kept as it has always been kept.
Le Council notes one further thing, without conclusion. The bonds were minted in the order fans first opened the page, and the first one issued was not issued to anyone at Le Council.
