Le Council reports one figure as the day turns, and will report it before anything else.
At 18:13 UITC on the 27th, the holding of Graine Wetsky Funds passed 1,012,800 kcups of Ice Shavings. It has kept rising since, and stands above 1,025,000 Ⓚ as the last game of matchday 44 finishes in Singapore.
The crossing occurred at La Ladera, in the eighteenth of the twenty-four games of matchday 44, at the resurfacing that followed a shootout. Medellín Mapaches beat Phuket Podcasters 3-2, and La Ladera recovered exactly as every other building recovered on matchday 44. Nothing else happened in Medellín. Le Council names the moment because the holding moves only at a resurfacing, so the record requires a resurfacing to be named, and this was the resurfacing.
There are two matchdays still to play. Le Council sets that down in the second paragraph rather than the last, because it is the part of this report that is not arithmetic.
What the figure is
On the 16th of September the Royal Institute for Nascent Kinetics published a technical bulletin, unrequested and unauthorized by anybody, converting the settled density of recovered resurfacing material into the unit the material is traded in.
The Institute's finding was one number.

The Institute showed its arithmetic, pre-empted three objections, and closed by recording that it had no reason to have calculated this.
Le Council did not commission that bulletin, has reviewed the method, and has no correction to offer. Le Council's building standard is the standard the Institute used. The Puck is a manufactured object and its displacement is a matter of specification. The settle was measured across eleven hundred cups in nine buildings, and did not move when the Assemblies were upgraded on the 12th, and has not moved since.
What Le Council is and is not reporting
Le Council reports that a quantity has been assembled.
Le Council does not report that anything will be done with it. Le Council has no filing before it proposing that anything be done with it, has received no application, and has been notified of no intention. Le Council is not in a position to state that a sheet of ice will be poured, and will not be inferring one from a subtraction.
Le Council will state the two facts that are in the record and stop.
The first is that the quantity is sufficient. The second is that it was not sufficient a fortnight ago.
The postseason will nearly stop the recovery
Le Council reports this because it is arithmetic and because nobody else is likely to publish it today.
The regular season runs twenty-four games a night for forty-six nights, and two of those nights are left. The postseason does not run that way. The Wildcard is one game a conference; the quarterfinals, semifinals and conference finals are best-of-three; the Final is a single match. The slate thins from twenty-four games a night to a handful, and thins again after each round.
Recovery falls with it, by roughly nine tenths, from the 30th. The Assembly is unchanged and the Funds' share is unchanged at one third, and neither matters very much when there are four games instead of twenty-four.
Le Council sets down the consequence plainly. Two more full nights will be recovered and then the recovery all but stops, and whatever stands at 23:00 on the 29th is very close to whatever will stand at the end of the Final.
Le Council notes one further thing about the timing and does not intend to dress it. The recovery did not finish with hours to spare. It finished with two matchdays to spare, and fifty-four games, and it will go on recovering through all of them. Whatever this was built to be sufficient for, it became sufficient early.
The parishes
Le Council publishes a second figure nightly and will draw attention to it once, here, without argument.
Consecration destroys. When a citizen offers kcups to their parish, the kcups are not spent, not transferred, and not held by any institution afterwards. They stop existing. The Church of the Ice is the only true sink in the economy of Hockay and has been since the parishes were founded.
The parishes of Hockay have destroyed more shavings this season than any institution in Hockay has ever assembled. Both totals are published, both are open to any citizen, and Le Council will not be reconciling them into a single sentence here, because the two numbers are doing different things and a citizen who reads both will see that faster than Le Council can say it.
An announcement that has not arrived
In the periodic disclosure lodged with the forty-eight registers on the 26th of September, under Subsequent events, Graine Wetsky Funds recorded the following:
The Funds expect to make an announcement to the registers before the close of the season.
The regular season closes at 23:00 UITC on the 29th. That is tomorrow night — two matchdays, counting the one that begins now.
Le Council checked the forty-eight registers at midnight and finds no announcement lodged against any of them. Le Council notes that "the season" is capable of meaning the regular season or the whole of Season 03 including the postseason, that the filing does not define it, and that Le Council did not require it to.
Le Council observes only that the quantity the Funds have been assembling since July stopped growing toward anything at 18:13, and that the announcement has still not come.
The postseason opens on the 30th
The bracket is not set. Two matchdays stand between tonight and a field of sixteen, eight to a conference. Seven of those eight seats clinch outright on the table. The eighth is settled by the Wildcard — one game, against a name the Ice draws rather than the standings set, which is why Le Council advised the citizenry on the eve of the season to stop treating ninth place as the line that matters.
What is settled is the shape. One game for the Wildcard, best-of-three through the conference finals, one match for the Final, and that Final played on neither finalist's ice under the combined effects of both their buildings, by enactment of a petition carried at 81 of 81 Seals.
