Deeper Again
As of 00:00 UITC on the 20th, a period-end yields between 2,000 and 4,000 kcups. Eight days ago it began yielding between 1,000 and 2,000. Seven weeks before that, between 250 and 700.
The Recovery Assembly was rebuilt deeper overnight on the 19th, in all forty-eight buildings, by Graine Wetsky Funds, financed, owned and maintained by the Funds, at no cost to Le Council, the teams or the buildings. Again, nothing was added: it is the same machine reaching further under the same sheet. No building closed. No game moved. Le Council's assessors were present in six buildings and report the resurfacing unchanged against every standard Le Council keeps.
The Funds' share off the top moves from twenty percent to a third. That is the whole of the change. There is no other clause. Le Council was notified on the 19th, by which time the units were already in transit.
Le Council notes the form of the figure, having no comment on its size. The first two were percentages. This one is a fraction of the whole, which is a different kind of quantity, and Le Council records that the filing chose it.
At the boards
The night of the 19th left behind some 115,000 kcups, and some 92,000 of them reached the marketplace.
The night of the 20th left behind 264,223, and 177,071 of them reached the marketplace. That is more than three times what the marketplace was offered on the 9th of September, and the price of a kcup still does not move with volume.
Le Council reports this without qualification. The boards on the night of the 20th were deeper than they have been on any night in the history of the marketplace, and tonight's will not be shallower.
Le Council notes one consequence, since it has been asked about it more than once in ten days, and the answer is the opposite of the one anticipated. There is still no surplus at the horn. The marketplace has cleared every night since June and it cleared again on the 20th: of the 177,071 kcups released to it, the citizenry bought 177,071. The boards went bare at a depth nobody has ever offered before.
What Le Council will and will not say
Le Council will say that the share has moved twice in eight days, from ten percent to twenty to a third, and three times in fifty-three days.
Le Council will not comment on the direction.
Le Council will say that this advisory is shorter than the one published on the 12th, which was itself shorter than the one published on the 29th of July. Le Council writes at length when a thing is being decided and briefly when a thing is being recorded. Le Council has noticed which of those this was and is setting it down rather than letting it pass unremarked, because a bulletin that gets shorter each time is a bulletin describing something that has stopped requiring a decision.
The Funds' holding of Ice Shavings stands this morning a little above five hundred and thirty thousand kcups.
It was 166,491 on the 6th.
