How a Blister works
C.A.R.D. publishes its odds as a matter of record. Everything below describes Le Blister; a special Blister says on its own tile what it guarantees, and every guarantee is the same table conditioned upward.

A tier is what a card IS, and it is decided by the player, not the roll. Five exist. Every optical effect on the card is scaled by the tier, so the ladder reads before you get to a label.
Sarah-Maude Fortin
commoncommon · 56%
Most of a binder. A player who took the ice, printed plainly, and worth about what that says.
Sarah-Maude Fortin
uncommonuncommon · 16%
A steadier hand. The plate warms and the frame takes a little more light.
Sarah-Maude Fortin
rarerare · 21%
The floor every Blister guarantees, so the first one is never a surprise — and the last one still is.
Sarah-Maude Fortin
epicepic · 5.6%
The name gets a serif and the ground lifts. From here the card is arguing for itself.
Sarah-Maude Fortin
legendarylegendary · 1.4%
One per club, and the club decides who. The frame burns and the mark shows through the plate.
Odds are for a player card in Le Blister, blended across its open slots and its guaranteed one. A card scraps for 4 / 12 / 30 / 90 / 250 Looneys by tier, before any finish.
The Effects
A finish is rolled separately from the card and does not change what the card is. Four exist. One in five carries any of them.
Sarah-Maude Fortin
commonstandard · 80%
The card as it was printed, which is four in five of them.
Sarah-Maude Fortin
common · frostfrost · 12.5% · ×2
The card has been left out. Crystals fern in from the edges and the face beneath goes cold and pale.
Sarah-Maude Fortin
common · goldgold · 5% · ×5
Struck through with metal. Bands of it, bright where the light lands and dark where it does not.
Sarah-Maude Fortin
common · foilfoil · 2.5% · ×10
A refractor band across the face, sweeping as the card turns. The rarest thing a card can be wearing.
Shown at full strength · a finish is quieter on a lower tier, so a Common foil reads as a cheap shiny card and a Legendary foil does not · the multiplier is what it does to the recycle value
