Appeasing the Sixth
Le Council is moved by the devotion expressed in this petition. That a fan should feel such solidarity with their players—watching them return from the Sixth altered, burdened, changed by forces beyond the Ice—speaks to the bond that makes Hockay what it is. The concern is noted. Should this petition reach its threshold, Le Council will seek to authorize a research grant in partnership with R.I.N.K. to evaluate a question that has long gone unasked: can a player be sent to the Sixth voluntarily? If entry can be made deliberate, perhaps exit can be made clean?
When a player returns from the Sixth they sometimes acquire a curse or a boon. This is the way it always has been, the Sixth can change a person. R.I.N.K. has recently reported on their finding of what changes about a player when they return changed by their visit to the Sixth. As a die-hard fan of my team and its players there should be a way that we the fans can unchange a player to remove what could be considered by some a curse. It pains me to see my players out there, working their hardest, to bring home a each win and eventually a championship, only to see them struggle with changes outside their control. Surely there is a way to spend our Looneys for the betterment of our teams.
